Carl Hall, Cleanthony Early, and the Wichita State Shockers will play today for a spot in the Final Four.

From the Burtogram Sports Desk:

After two days of battling it out, the Elite Eight is set. Syracuse, Marquette, Wichita State, Ohio State, Louisville, Duke, Florida, and Michigan have advanced to play for the chance to earn a berth in next week’s Final Four. The ensemble is composed of 3 teams from the Big East, 2 from the Big 10, 1 from the ACC, 1 from the SEC, and 1 from the Missouri Valley Conference.

The #4 seeded Orange and the #3 seeded Golden Eagles face off today at 3:30pm on CBS (all times listed are Central). Both teams are vying for their first Final Four appearance in ten years (when Syracuse won the national championship). The teams faced off against each other earlier this season in Syracuse, which the Orange won 74-71.

The #11 seeded Shockers and the #2 seeded Buckeyes are featured in the evening game, tipping off at 6:05pm on CBS. Ohio State is attempting to reach the Final Four for the second consecutive year while Wichita State hopes to earn its first trip since 1965. The two schools did not face each other during the regular season.

The #4 seeded Wolverines and the #3 seeded Gators play in the early game Sunday, 1:20pm on CBS. Michigan hopes to ascend to the final weekend for the first time since 1993; Florida for the first time since they won back-to-back championships in 2006 and 2007. The two schools did not face each other during the regular season.

The #2 seeded Blue Devils and the #1 seeded Cardinals match up in the late game Sunday, set to begin at 4:05pm on CBS. Duke yearns to advance to the title weekend for the first time since they took home the title in 2010; Louisville hopes to make their second consecutive Final Four. In an earlier meeting this year, Duke held off Louisville and won 76-71.

All four games should be entertaining to watch. Whether one of these teams is your alma mater or your adopted team (for bracket winning purposes), best of luck today and tomorrow and may they emerge victorious!
